Kelly Park Kiteboarding

INFORMATION ON KITEBOARDING KELLY PARK

This spot is good on summer days when the seabreeze kicks in. It can blow about 5 mph more here than on the beach!  The beach area is very small and not the best spot to launch. There is a field behind the parking lot which offers an open area to setup and launch. It can be gusty and you must walk with your kite through the parking lot and trees to get to the water.  You can launch a boat here and go out to the flats just South to launch. This is a good area to ride but is difficult to get to when the wind is light without a boat.

PRECAUTIONS: Intermediate, Advanced or PRO level riding ONLY without boat assistance. This spot has a very technical launch. It usually good when there is an Onshore wind which means you will be pulled into the buildings and trees if something goes wrong!

WIND DIRECTIONS: Good for SE, ESE, S

GOOD BREEZE KITEBOARDING / RON JON KITEBOARDING

Good Breeze Kiteboarding has been offering kiteboarding lessons and equipment in the Cocoa Beach area since 2007. The shallow flat water of the Banana River gives the area an incredible appeal for learning and catching any wind direction. They teach with water-craft support with IKO certified instructors.  The “surf town” vibe of Cocoa Beach is really laid back and friendly. Being central in Florida with close proximity to Orlando and Melbourne, makes the area a killer location for a kiteboarding shop and school. It is fully stocked so swing by! Located just north of the big Ron Jon Surf Shop. They also offer Hydrofoil and EFoil Lessons!
